I left my hometown of Alpena, Mich. in January 2013 with new horizons in mind, and happily found them here in Auburn. After completing a bachelor’s degree in physiology at MichiganStateUniversity, I gravitated toward my passion for film and literature and tried my hand at creative pursuits with nine months at WBKB-TV and 18 at The Alpena News. The results were satisfying, as they led me here to gold country in search of new prospects.
