Krissi Khokhobashvili has been editor of the Placer Herald since September 2012 and the Roseville and Granite Bay Press Tribune and Granite Bay View since March 2013. She loves these papers and the vibrant communities that surround them.

Her duties include editing, organizing and assigning stories, in addition to penning a few herself for each print edition and online. She works with a dedicated team of staff writers and photographers and freelance writers and a fantastic, fun staff of advertising consultants. When she's not editing or interviewing, Krissi can be found Tweeting here and here, or shooting and editing video for the Web.

Prior to coming to the Herald and Press Tribune, Krissi was the features editor of the Auburn Journal, another outstanding Gold Country Media publication. Before that, she was city editor at the Calaveras Enterprise, a newspaper in San Andreas where worked for five years.

A graduate of the University of Montana, Missoula, Krissi has a love for the printed word combined with a passion for all the different ways of telling stories. Newspapers have a limited number of pages, so the opportunity to supply a limitless source of news via the Internet is exciting. She welcomes any and all story ideas pertaining to Rocklin, Roseville and Granite Bay, and will rely on the community to help be her "eyes and ears," as the machine hasn't been invented yet that will allow her to be in five places at once.

Krissi is an accomplished stage actress who earned an Elly nod in 2010 for her role in "Plaza Suite" at the Volcano Theatre Company. She's also a proud member of Soroptimist International of South Placer. She's a reader, a crocheter, a lover of indie music and a brewer of kombucha.

Krissi lives in Rocklin with her husband, Giorgi. They have one fish.
