They came in cars, on bikes, and walked to participate in painting a mural on the wall near the Auburn public parking lot on High Street Saturday morning. Designed by Archie Warren many volunteers turned out to help and put paint to wall with brushes and rollers. The painting was open to anyone young or old to help with the group project. ?The outcome and enthusiasm has just been amazing,? said design creator Archie Warren. ?We?re looking at a January 21 completion date,? he said.

Bruce and Jeannie Sayre of Applegate stopped Saturday morning to watch the progress on the mural being painted as a community project on the wall of Rico?s Barber Shop on High Street. The project was conceived by eighteen year old Archie Warren of Auburn who organized, designed and coordinated the effort. Any community member who wanted to help paint was encouraged to participate. ?It?s a little abstract at this point, but it looks like fun,? said Jeannie Sayre.
