Langston said people learn to ?love? the exotic drink. Her husband, Charles Langston, helps to prepare the drinks. Chocolate-covered strawberries and marshmallows, served here by Sgt. John Weaver of the Placer County Sheriff?s Department, were among the most popular desserts offered at the annual fundraiser. Placer County Supervisor Jim Holmes cooks up chicken enchiladas for the Blue Goose celebrity chef event every year. In the back are chefs Garrick Gookin and Lorene Euerle. Matthew Sahota, of Raley?s, adds a couscous salad to a Food Extravaganza guest?s plate. Rick Petree slices a prime rib roast to serve to Blue Goose Food Extravaganza guests. The Petree family, including sons Colin, left, and Shane, center, were among the Loomis Basin Education Foundation ?celebrity chefs? volunteering at Saturday?s dinner.
