Griffith Quarry Museum and Park needs volunteers

Griffith Quarry Museum and Park volunteers are anxious to show off the newly remodeled and air-conditioned museum, located on Taylor Road, at Rock Springs Road, in Penryn. The park also includes a natural park setting with three miles of trails. Pictured with Placer County Supervisor Jim Holmes, far left, at the museum’s grand re-opening in July, are docents Bruce Leonhardt, Connie Markell, Karen Clifford, Cliff Kennedy, and Bob Clifford, who said, “We need more volunteers.” The museum is open from noon to 4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free.
