Eureka Lodge #16 Masons of Auburn were at the 2008 California State Fair’s opening weekend, Sunday August 17th performing free child ID fingerprinting.

This year’s theme “California Goes Hollywood” had several Eureka Lodge members celebrate the days of Tinsel Town by fitting right in the Hollywood theme taking lots of pictures and fingerprinting children. We had a cast of 16 volunteers bear through a very busy day processing 267 photo ID’s of children. That’s a lot of Masonic enthusiasm dished out to the greater Sacramento area!

Bill Butrica led a Hollywood casting team of Don and Doris Walker, John and Joan Knierim, Bob and Charlotte Nield, Jack Anderson, Elsa Hazen, Fellow Craft Dwayne Howard and his wife Donna, Entered Apprentice John Valeu and Cindy and Bob Murphy.

The Masons of Eureka Lodge plan to have their Child ID booth at the upcoming Gold Country Fair September 4th to 7th, providing free fingerprinting to children in our community. Parents should have this done annually so plan to bring your children by when attending the fair.
