Local chapter RB of the P.E.O. Sisterhood welcomed Grace Koontz of Cool to membership on Friday, the 23rd, at a meeting in the home of Ruthie Simpson of Lake of the Pines. Grace and her husband, Dean, recently moved to their new home in Cool from Monterey, California. The chapter meeting also featured the "Make, Bake, Grow and Sew" sale. This annual event raises funds for the educational and philanthropic projects supported by the sisterhood as well as for courtesies and kindnesses. Items offered for sale are made, baked, grown or sewed by individual chapter members for purchase by other members. Following the initiation of Grace Koontz, a business meeting, and the fund-raising sale, sack lunches were enjoyed on the Simpsons' deck overlooking the golf course at Lake of the Pines.
