Weighing in with recyclables

-A +A
Community donations filled four bins at the Loomis Basin Education Foundation e-waste drive held April 9 in the Loomis Grammar School parking lot. Carolyn Petree, an Education Foundation board member, said the bins hold 10,000 each. The exact amount raised during the fundraiser won’t be determined for several days by California Electronics Asset Recovery, the waste collector and recycler, but “Expectations are of raising over $3,000,” Petree said. The Education Foundation will use proceeds to support Loomis Union School District programs and children’s education. - Martha Garcia
