The Gathering Inn, a faith-based ministry for the homeless of Placer County, will be the beneficiary of a Walk/Run to feed the homeless Saturday, Oct. 24. Participants must register by 8:15 a.m. at Bloom Coffee and Tea at Stone Point Center, 1485 Eureka Road, in Roseville. The 3-mile walk and 5-mile run begin at 9 a.m. The race will follow Miner’s Ravine and a Roseville bike trail, then return to Stone Point Center for free refreshments and entertainment by the Denny Russell Band. The Gathering Inn offers homeless people the basic necessities of life, a sense of dignity and a spirit of hope for the future by providing them with social, health and case management services that will help them become active participants in the community to the best of their ability.
