Train to stop at Loomis Depot tonight for dedication

The Capital Corridor train will make a stop tonight – Friday, Dec. 5 – at the Loomis Depot, an event that has not occurred for decades. The stop, arranged by Union Pacific, is part of depot dedication festivities, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The general public may join in the fun and ride the train from the Roseville station to the Loomis Depot for a cost of $5. Riders should be at the Roseville Amtrak station, located in Old Town, at 5:15 p.m. The train will depart at approximately 5:45 p.m. The commuter train will continue to Loomis where it will make a one-time only stop for 10 minutes before going on to its regularly scheduled stop in Auburn.
