The 16th Annual Cowpoke Fall Gathering runs Nov. 11 to 14 at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Recording artist R.W. Hampton will be joined by cowboy poets and student poets for the four-day event that will include a kick-off gala at High Hand Nursery, a barbecue and free stagecoach rides. Admission is $35 general or $45 for preferred seating. Tickets are available at Blue Goose Produce or by calling 652-6113. The Fall Gathering, founded by Bert and Carol Braun, has partnered with Tough Enough To Wear Pink to bring the sport of professional rodeo and the western community together to rally against breast cancer. Donations can be made using “Give a Buck” canisters that have been placed at Loomis businesses. Proceeds will benefit the Breast Health Center at Sutter Roseville. Other Fall Gathering beneficiaries include the Loomis School District arts program and the Blue Goose renovation project.
