Three injured in weekend car accidents

Three people were injured in two separate vehicle accidents on Loomis roads this weekend, according to Capt. Devin Fuller of the Loomis Fire Protection District. On Friday, July 18, two patients with minor injuries were transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. The injuries were the result of an accident that occurred at about 5:50 p.m. at Taylor and Rippey roads. The two vehicles involved received heavy damage. A vehicle rollover occurred at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, July 20, on Horseshoe Bar Road at Tudsbury. One patient, who was able to extricate himself from the Geo Metro he was driving, was taken by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with minor injuries. Also on Sunday, at 8:30 a.m., a Ford pick-up truck went off the shoulder in the 7100 block of Horseshoe Bar Road and struck and sheered off a power pole. No injuries were reported. – Martha Garcia
