Starry Night to sparkle at High Hand Nursery

High Hand Nursery will flip the switch this week, setting the grounds aglow with thousands of holiday lights. Starry Night, A Celebration of Lights is from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2. Visitors are invited to “stroll, shop, eat and drink.” During the event, two new businesses inside the High Hand Fruit Shed will celebrate their grand openings. The Vintage Bricoleur, a shop for vintage home design and antiques, will hold an opening from 4 to 6 p.m.; and 3 Vigne, a tasting room for three Placer County vintners — Ciotti Cellars, Cristaldi Vineyard and Popie by Duart Family Vineyards — will hold their opening from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. High Hand Conservatory will have extended hours for the holidays and will be open on Thursdays, Dec. 8, 15, 22 and 29, with seatings beginning at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 10, High Hand will hold a charity drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event benefits the Loomis Basin Christmas Basket program, Placer County SPCA and Gold country Wildlife Rescue.
