Sorry about the music at Expo

As Executive Director of the CCD Expo held in Loomis on September 16 and 17, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Loomis Town Council and staff, local businesses, and all the volunteers who made this a successful first event. Dozens of people, some here for the first time, have said being in Loomis was like “coming home" to friendly, welcoming neighbors and safe streets. We were able to show a different side of filmmaking involving real people. I would also like to offer my sincere apologies to those with noise complaints resulting from recent concerts on the new Blue Anchor Stage. The shape of the new park creates a natural amphitheater allowing unanticipated sound travel. We plan to address this issue fitting the needs of Loomis residents. The tremendous efforts and overwhelmingly positive experiences expressed by so many involved with the Expo are noted and greatly appreciated. This new community stage can be the home of summer concerts, plays, dance recitals, and so many other local events, that it would be a shame for three loud concerts to diminish all the love and hard work that went into building this facility.
