A presentation by Marily Woodhouse, the Save the Sierra Campaign organizer, will present “Clearcut Nation” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Auburn Library, 350 Nevada Street, Auburn. “‘Clearcut’ exposes the destruction that continues with forests being stripped bare followed by herbicide applications that prevent natural regeneration. Learn how you, as a concerned consumer, can help stop archaic logging practices from turning forests into sterile tree plantations,” said Marilyn Jasper of the Sierra Club Placer Group. The presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, call Jasper at 652-7005.
