Center participants, family and friends enjoyed an early Thanksgiving luncheon of turkey and all the trimmings on Nov. 18. Participants at the dinner included octogenarian Emma Houx, of Loomis, who said she has been a senior center participant since 1976, when her mother-in-law, Fern Martin, invited her to spend the day. Mrs. Martin died in 1995 at the age of 95. Acsa Hitchens, senior center co-director, said Houx is a valuable asset for the center and runs the weekly rummage sale.
