Matt Scott came up short in his bid to win two track championships.

One week after winning his third consecutive Late Model points title at All American Speedway in Roseville, Scott had twin 50-lap main events to overcome a 26-point deficit Saturday night at Stockton 99 Speedway.

Scott finished third in the first feature and fourth in the second main. Points leader Jeff Belletto of Modesto finished fourth in the opener and clinched the title when he took the green flag to start the finale.

When Belletto won the race, Scott was right where he started when he arrived at the track — 26 points behind.

Mangini wins Legends feature at All American Speedway

Tony Mangini squeezed out a victory in the Legends of the Pacific 35-lap main event Saturday night at All American Speedway.

Mangini beat Chase Majic to the checkered flag by .358 of a second, and third- and fourth-place finishers Frankie Marks and Logan Zampa were within a second of the winner in the 18-car race.

Marks led the first eight laps before dash winner Jeremy Wood took over. Wood led through lap 32, and Mangini moved in front for good when Wood and second-place Danny Allen crashed.

Mangini topped qualifying at 15.221 seconds around the one-third-mile paved oval. Joe Leduc and Danny Allen won the eight-lap heats.
