Jason Romero took the lead on the 12th lap and led the rest of the way to win the 100-lap Late Model main event Saturday night at All American Speedway in Roseville.

Romero topped qualifying with a lap at 13.668 seconds around the one-third-mile oval in the first NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race this season. He was second-quickest in the first practice session and quickest in the second session. Romero even clocked a fast lap of 13.944 seconds on lap nine in the main event.

Juan Pitta placed second in the feature, followed by defending track champion Matt Scott and dash winner Gary Glenn. Only four of 13 cars in the main finished on the lead lap.

Romero started fourth and moved into second place on the third lap. Glenn led the first 11 laps before Romero took the lead. Scott passed Glenn for second on lap 35, and Pitta took second from Scott on lap 44. The top four finishers ran in that order over the final 57 laps.

Scott Winters won the 40-lap Modified main event. He took the lead from early pacesetter Nick Lyons on lap 13 and led the rest of the way.

Winters recorded the only 13-second qualifying time at 13.856, .177 of a second quicker than No. 2 Dan Jinkerson’s 14.033. Jinkerson ran second to Winters over the last 26 laps. Lyons passed Andy Field for third on lap 39.

Chris Lambert took the lead for good on lap five and won the 30-lap Street Stock feature. Top qualifier Mickey Owens (14.849) finished second and Dave Silva third.

Chris Paulson led 33 of 35 laps in the Bomber feature and beat a field of 14. Paulson qualified No. 1 at 15.851. Dana Kelly and Matt Camp finished second and third.
