Amazing depth was the key for the Rocklin High cross country team Friday as it raced to the team title at the Sierra Foothill League meet at William Jessup University. Woodcreek’s Tyler Raposa out-kicked Steven White of Rocklin for the boys’ individual crown, but the Thunder placed five runners in the top 14 to claim the league title over the Timberwolves. Spencer Thibideau of Granite Bay was fourth. “Great race today with Rocklin and Woodcreek battling it out for the league championships,” said Woodcreek coach Terri McKillop. “This was a super exciting race today with Rocklin coming out on top, scoring their top five all under 14th place.” Del Oro’s Nathan Paddeck finished fourth, with Spencer Thibideau of Granite Bay right behind him in fifth position. Colin Bruice of Rocklin was sixth, followed by Hunter Tyler of Woodcreek and Edixon Piglisi of Oakmont.
