A Rocklin man is in critical condition after being pinned beneath an SUV during a Sunday afternoon accident on Sierra College Boulevard.

According to the Roseville Police Department, the 54-year-old man was traveling southbound on a 1999 BMW motorcycle when an SUV collided with him just south of Cavitt Stallman Road. Police said the 70-year-old driver of the SUV was exiting from a nearby driveway and accidently slammed into the motorcycle.

The Roseville Fire Department arrived to find the motorcycle driver trapped under the SUV, forcing emergency personnel to extricate him before rushing him to Sutter Medical Center. Today, Roseville police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said the man is still listed in critical condition.

The accident is under investigation by the department’s Major Accident Investigation Team. Gunther said no alcohol or drugs are suspected in playing a role in the collision.
