A 20-year-old Rocklin resident was arrested today on suspicion of rape following a report from a 15-year-old girl of sexual assault, according to Rocklin Police. The joint Rocklin/Roseville Police Departments SWAT team served a search warrant to a house in the 1800 block of Sorrell Circle near Wildcat Boulevard in Rocklin. The warrant was in response to a report of a sexual assault of a minor girl by one of the residents of the house, which had occurred over the weekend, according to police. The SWAT team responded due to a report that the victim saw a gun. Spencer Beebe of Rocklin was arrested for suspicion of rape and will be transported to the Placer County Jail today, according to the release. Late Monday, the victim reported that she had been assaulted at the Sorrell Court address and a Placer County judge signed a search warrant Tuesday morning. The neighbors immediately next door to the residence were asked to leave their residence as a precaution. Other neighbors were asked to stay indoors until after the suspect was located within the house and arrested. Rocklin Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators will be processing the house for evidence today. ~Staff report
