From reporter to editor, my passion for Loomis continues

As a reporter and contributing writer, I’ve been telling your stories and sharing the local news with our readers in Loomis and Penryn since 2005. I’ve chronicled your joys, sorrows, triumphs and defeats in the pages of the Loomis News. I believe that everyone has a story to tell, if you just take the time to listen. I have met some fascinating people. I’ve written some gut-wrenching and heartbreaking stories. But those have been tempered by tales of the generous, good spirited, small-town folks that live and work in the Loomis Basin. My family and I have lived in the Loomis area for 15 years. My children have gone to school here and we have been active in the community. We have found peace and joy living in a small, rural town. As editor of the Loomis News, I hope to continue to keep you up to date on happenings, events and news in our community and to continue to introduce you to those who have a tale to tell. Please join me as I wish Martha Garcia much success in her new role as editor of the Colfax Record. I thank her for her dedication to the paper and to the community. Martha always made sure that Loomis and Penryn residents had a community paper that was interesting and informative. I hope to keep that proud tradition alive.
