READER INPUT CSF wants to help

CSF, or California Scholarship Federation, is a club consisting of a group of high achieving students at Del Oro. We exist to serve the school and the community through various service projects, as well as to inform members about colleges, applications and workshops. Club participation officially began during the 2009-2010 school year when Mrs. Luci became the club's advisor.  Since then, we have worked at the Del Oro Track Invitational, volunteered at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed, as well as participated in many smaller community events. The club keeps growing every year, and now includes freshmen, as well as sophomores, juniors and seniors. If you're a parent of a student at D.O., this club is a great opportunity to get your child involved in the community and receive a wider knowledge about colleges. CSF just helped set up and clean up the Cowpoke Fall Gathering, and we run an ongoing, free tutoring program at Del Oro. We are always looking for a way to help our community, so if you've got an event that needs volunteers, let us know! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give back to the community.
