Politicians need new rhetoric

-A +A
I received campaign propaganda from John Allard and it’s the same old rhetoric I always get. He’s going to protect my gun rights and lower my taxes. Hey, John, what about health care, roads and highways, education, jobs? Just once I’d like to hear a politician say, “I am here to help you. Not health insurance companies, banks, nor oil companies. I shall work with both parties and listen to the people, not what my party whip tells me to do. I shall make cuts that are fair and equitable and if we must tax, I shall let the voters decide, not me. No one wants 40 in a class nor a reduction in police and fire departments.” Wishful thinking. What we shall get is another negative vote and more stalemate. Jim Mather, Loomis
