Roseville police detectives are attempting to identify a man who walked into the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Sunrise Avenue Tuesday and held up its employees at gunpoint.
The incident happened around 9:35 p.m. According to Roseville police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther, the suspect strolled into the fast food diner, confronting three employees with a pistol.
“He brandished a handgun and demanded all of the cash in the register,” Gunther said.
Snatching money from the KFC workers, the man fled out on foot into the night. Witnesses did not report seeing a get-away vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, 5 feet and 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. Witnesses told police he had a light stubble beard and was wearing a green beanie cap with a bill and a dark blue hoodie with white writing on the front. He was also wearing blue jeans.
“We’re working on getting video images of him right now,” Gunther told the Press Tribune. “There’s surveillance footage and as soon as we have it we’ll be making it public to help get tips.”
