Savannah Pingree hurled a one-hitter and had three of her own at the plate, leading the Del Oro High softball team past Oakmont 8-0 in Sierra Foothill League action Wednesday afternoon. Pingree struck out six without walking a batter. She and Whitney Smith hit back-to-back homers during a four-run third inning. The Golden Eagles (21-3, 8-2 SFL) lead the standings by a game with two to play. They can claim their second straight SFL crown with wins at Nevada Union today and at Granite Bay Friday. Del Oro will open the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs on May 21 at the Sacramento Softball Complex.
