Penryn museum is open weekends

-A +A
In the late 19th century, the currently Griffith Quarry Museum building served as the office of Griffith Griffith and his Penryn Granite Works. The surrounding 23-acre park contains ruins of the first polishing mill built in California and some of the quarry holes from which the unique Penryn granite was taken. The museum is open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and is located at the corner of Taylor and Rock Springs roads in Penryn. It is surrounded by walking trails through the wooded grounds and includes markers at sites of interest.
