Local artist Brenda Dominguez, who created the 2008 Loomis Eggplant Festival logo, will show her award-winning paintings and drawings at the Flower Farm Coffee House. Meet the artist, view her work, and enjoy a glass of wine from local wineries at a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17. From 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Alison Harris of Peas and Harmony will give a free talk and demonstration on fall and winter vegetables. On Saturday and Sunday, the Flower Farm’s Pumpkin Patch is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hayrides are also available, as are live music and free treats. At 11:30 a.m. next Saturday, Oct. 25, a children’s bulb planting clinic is planned. Tim and Jan Krumal of TDK Designs will teach kids how to plant and grow bulbs. Children in kindergarten through sixth grade can take part in the clinic, which include planting and a pot. The fee is $8 per child. Pre-registration is required; call 791-6789.
