The Macy's at the Galleria in Roseville will reopen at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, the retailer has announced. The shoe and cosmetics departments inside Macy's will remain closed until the end of the month. But shoppers can order products on-site for home delivery with free shipping. Macy's will open as a freestanding store, meaning guests must enter from outdoors, not from inside the mall. Westfield will provide free shuttles between the department store and the mall. The announcement places Macy's far in advance of its previously stated goal to reopen by Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving Day. Macy's is one of the anchor stores closest to the second-level GampeStop, where Alexander Piggee allegedly set fires Oct. 21, causing $55 million in damages. After a mass evacuation, the Galleria stayed closed for a week, until 41 stores reopened Thursday, Oct. 28.
