A Loomis woman is no longer in custody after she was arrested on charges that she fired a round of gunshots in a Loomis man’s driveway. Sharon Ragsdale, 51, of Loomis is no longer a Placer County Jail inmate according to records after an arrest last week on felony charges of assault with a firearm and threats, and misdemeanor charges of a weapon concealed in a vehicle, brandishing a firearm and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level suspected to be higher than the .08 legal limit. According to a Placer Sheriff’s report, Ragsdale reportedly threatened to shoot a 48-year-old Loomis man while the two were outside on his driveway on the 7000 block of Barnes Lane at about 8:26 a.m. March 2. Ragsdale allegedly pointed a revolver at the man, who then turned to run inside his home right before Ragsdale fired one round from the pistol, the report stated. A deputy reported that Ragsdale was intoxicated as she drove away from the scene. - Jenifer Gee
