Loomis students spread Christmas cheer

-A +A
Eighty first-graders from Loomis Grammar and H. Clarke Powers Elementary schools made their way down Taylor Road last week, stopping to sing carols and to mail their letters to Santa at the post office. Their main destination was the Loomis Fire Station, where they delivered 150 presents that will go to children in the Loomis Basin Christmas Basket Program. Teachers, parents and 60 eighth-grade “buddies” from Loomis School chaperoned the young walkers, just a few of whom are shown here delivering their gifts. Donations of new, unwrapped toys or cash can be made at the fire station until Dec. 19, or call Doupnik Manufacturing at 652-9291.
