Loomis home burglarized
Men posed as water company employees
The Placer County Sheriff’s Department is looking for two men who burglarized a Loomis home Friday, June 27, while impersonating water company workers, according to a press release issued by Dena Erwin, a Sheriff’s public information officer. At about 10 a.m. Friday, the two men contacted a Loomis homeowner and identified themselves as water workers to gain entry into his house. Once inside, one of the men distracted the homeowner and his wife by telling them to check various water-related items such as the outside hoses. While the homeowners were doing this, the men went through their home stealing cash and valuable items. The press release described the two men as being in their early 40s and having medium completions. They were wearing blue pants, blue work-type uniform shirts and some type of white name badge and were driving a lifted grey or blue pickup truck. Anyone contacted by the men matching this description or anyone with information related to this crime is urged to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Department immediately at (530) 889-7800.
