Loomis council revisits Master Plan Design for downtown
By: Joyia Emard, Loomis News Staff Writer
With the recent acquisition of the Union Pacific Railroad land, the Town of Loomis is now revisiting the Master Plan Design guidelines prepared for the town in 1992. Parts of the plans have been utilized over the years for the downtown, but were never completely adopted. At its Dec. 15 meeting, the Loomis Town Council voted to adopt priorities for the downtown area from High Hand Nursery to the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Those priorities are parking, traffic, the plaza, a park and community events. The council also decided to have town staff review the 1992 plan and make recommendations for adoption at the next council meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
