Thursday The Loomis Thursday Night FamilyFest is held from 6 to 9:30 p.m., every Thursday, at the Loomis Train Depot, 5801 Taylor Road. The event features craft and business vendors, food, classic car cruise-in, farmers market, kids zone, beer and wine garden, and activities. For more information, email loomisfamilyfest@gmail.com. Saturday Visit the Loomis Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays through August, in front of Blue Goose Produce. Those who will have farm or homegrown fruits, vegetables, nuts, value-added products or handcrafted items can get information about a free vendor booth at the Loomis Farmers Market. ONGOING Community Open Swim, sponsored by the Town of Loomis, will be from 12:30 to 3 p.m., on Tuesdays through Fridays, at the Del Oro High School Pool, through Aug. 2, closed July 21 to 29. Signups for summer swim lesson at the Del Oro High School pool, for beginning to advanced swimmers, are at the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce, on Mondays to Thursdays, 6090 Horseshoe Bar Road. The final two-week lesson session begins on July 17. The 30-minute lessons are at 10, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 a.m. Registration is on a first-come basis.
