UPCOMING Signups for summer swim lesson at the Del Oro High School pool, for beginning to advanced swimmers, are at the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce, on Mondays to Thursdays, 6090 Horseshoe Bar Road. Three, two-week lesson sessions begin on June 19, July 2 and July 17. The 30-minute lessons are Tuesday to Friday at 10, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 a.m. Registration is on a first-come basis. Cost is $135 per person, which includes green fees, cart, range balls, barbecue lunch, and awards dinner that features a raffle, silent auction and auctioneer. Dinner only is available for $35 per person. All proceeds go to the nonprofit Matt Redding Foundation, which supports education in protective services and provides financial support each year to graduating seniors at Del Oro, Whitney and Rocklin high schools. From the Gridiron To The Green is the slogan for the 1st Annual Del Oro Football Golf Tournament, on Monday, July 2, at Sierra View Country Club, in Roseville. It will benefit both Del Oro High School football and the Del Oro Jr. Golden Eagle program. Registration begins at 4 p.m., with a shotgun start at 5 p.m. The twilight nine-hole scramble is followed at 8 p.m. by a social hour and dinner. Entry fee is $100 for golf, dinner, dance and auction ticket; for dinner, dance and auction only the cost is $50.
