Tonight The Loomis Thursday Night FamilyFest is held from 6 to 9:30 p.m., every Thursday, at the Loomis Train Depot, 5801 Taylor Road. The event features craft and business vendors, food, classic car cruise-in, farmers market, kids zone, beer and wine garden, and activities. UPCOMING Those who will have farm or homegrown fruits, vegetables, nuts, value-added products or handcrafted items can get information about a free vendor booth at the Loomis Farmers Market, opening Saturday, June 2, at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Signups for summer swim lesson at the Del Oro High School pool, for beginning to advanced swimmers, are at the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce, on Mondays to Thursdays, 6090 Horseshoe Bar Road. Three, two-week lesson sessions begin on June 12, July 6 and July 20. The 30-minute lessons are Tuesday to Friday at 10, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 a.m. Registration is on a first-come basis. Fees per session are $55 for Town of Loomis residents, and $60 for nonresidents, proof of residency required. For more information, call 652-7252. Signup for Summer Dance Camp at Del Oro High School for incoming 1st-8th graders. Jazz, hip hop, and musical theater dance are included. Session 1 is June 18 to 21; and Session 2 is June 25 to 28. Golfers are $45 each; sponsorships, which include four players, are $230; sponsorships without golfers are $75 and include two t-shirts and two dinners; dinner only is $20. Community Open Swim, sponsored by the Town of Loomis, will be from 1 to 3 p.m., on Tuesdays through Fridays, at the Del Oro High School Pool, beginning June 21 until July 15.
