Tonight A Teen Drinking forum for parents and teens will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., tonight, Thursday, May 17, at Del Oro High School in the Bonner Gym. The Loomis Thursday Night FamilyFest is held from 6 to 9:30 p.m., every Thursday, at the Loomis Train Depot, 5801 Taylor Road. The event also features craft and business vendors, food, classic car cruise-in, farmers market, kids zone, beer and wine garden, and activities. Saturday The Del Oro High School cheerleaders will hold an e-waste drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 19, at the Del Oro pool parking lot. This fundraiser with CEAR e-waste will help offset the fees associated with the rising cost of cheerleading. Del Oro Dance Team is holding a car wash fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 19, in the Taco Bell parking lot. The suggested donation is $5, but no donation is too big or too small. The 33-member team is fundraising for new uniforms and poms next year. While you're there, be sure to purchase a DO car sunshade for only $15. Cancer survivors are invited to the Loomis Relay For Life opening ceremonies at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 19. Survivors will be honored, receive a free t-shirt and will walk the opening lap of the event, which benefits the American Cancer Society. Volunteers and teams are still needed. Golfers are $45 each; sponsorships, which include four players, are $230; sponsorships without golfers are $75 and include two t-shirts and two dinners; dinner only is $20.
