Twelve artists from the Loomis Basin are gearing up to participate in the Loomis Art Loop, the sixth annual spring open studios tour. The free tour of artists studios will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, which is Mother’s Day weekend. In addition to exhibiting their work, some of the artists will be demonstrating how they create their art. Brenda Dominguez will be showing her watercolor and colored pencil works. Millie Beatie will be displaying her porcelain vessels and clay art. Larry Brenden will be exhibiting his fine art photography. Cindy Bonito will be showing her relief prints. Deanna Marsh will be sharing her landscape sculpture. Paula Amerine will be displaying her acrylic, oil pastel and watercolor work. Sandy Delehanty will be sharing her watercolor, acrylic and oil pieces. Victoria Brooks, will be showing her oil and watercolor works. Susan Goodmundson will be sharing her pastel pieces. Julie Hirota will be sharing her textile murals. Doug Horton will be displaying his jewelry. Thien Dao's unique medium is clay sculpture. The Loomis Art Loop artists are also organizing a benefit and competition for the Del Oro High School Art Department at High-Hand Nursery. Students’ artwork will be displayed and raffled on May 9 and 10. Tickets for the art raffle are available at the High-Hand Nursery.
