Jay Linstroth of Citrus Heights took the lead on the third lap and drove to victory in the Modified main event as All American Speedway opened its season Saturday night.

Linstroth, who earlier won a heat race, was in second place by lap two in the feature and moved into the lead on the next lap with Jason Bamberg right behind in second. Defending track champion Scott Winters passed Bamberg on lap 19 and finished second with Bamberg third in the 19-car main.

Bamberg set fast time in qualifying at 14.175 seconds around the one-third-mile paved oval. John Mamula won the other heat and the trophy dash.

Late Model — Chris Scribner set the pace in qualifying at 14.144 seconds and beat Ron Chunn to the checkered flag by less than a car-length in the 12-car main event.

Chunn had a big lead, but a caution flag on lap 29 brought the field together. Chunn led Scribner from laps 30-40 until Scribner made a pass on lap 41 and led the final 20 laps to the checkered flag.

Michael Roman won the dash.

Street Stock — Jared Beddow came within a heat race victory of a clean sweep. He topped qualifying at 14.924 seconds, won the trophy dash and pulled away to victory by 1.989 seconds in the 35-lap main event.

Richard Poppert Jr. and Kevin Owens battled for the lead for several laps until colliding in turn four on lap 25. Beddow took the lead on the restart and beat Dave Silva.

Owens and Jill Schmidt won the heats.

Bomber — Cody Rickard took the lead on lap 16 of the 35-lap feature and led the rest of the way, beating Erick Ray to the checkered flag by 1.262 seconds.

Ray set a track record in qualifying with a lap at 15.721 seconds. Mario Davis and Richard Perez won the heats, and Perez won the dash.

F4 — Cyle Clayton led from green flag to checker in dominating the 12-lap feature with a victory margin of 13.058 seconds. Adam Chandler was second and Anthony Beno third.
