Six different players scored Tuesday afternoon for the Del Oro High girls soccer team as the Lady Eagles blanked Nevada Union, 6-0, in a Sierra Foothill League match played in Grass Valley.

The win for Del Oro improved the Lady Eagles' SFL record to 3-2-3 and kept the defending champions in-line for one of the SFL's three CIF playoff berths.

However, in order for the Lady Eagles to reach the post season, they will most likely have to win both of its remaining matches - Thursday at home versus Granite Bay and Monday's Senior Night game against Roseville. Both begin at 7 p.m.

"We'll probably have to win both matches to get in," said Del Oro coach Ron Benjamin. "We're chasing Roseville but they play Nevada Union (1-6) in one of their matches. It will be tough."

While Del Oro was handily disposing of Nevada Union Tuesday, Roseville (3-2-2) played league leading Rocklin (6-1-1) to a scoreless tie. In the SFL's other match Tuesday, Granite Bay (5-2-1) topped Woodcreek, 4-0.

In Tuesday's win, the Lady Eagles, after playing three scoreless ties in their last four matches, broke through with goals coming from Jordan McDaniel, Kaleigh Landberg, Camilla Ahlquist, Sarah Fenner, Annsley Yarnell-Williams and Kayla Collins.
