Kindergarten information meetings set in Loomis
Attend orientation on Tuesday, March 3
The Loomis Union School District is preparing for a new crop of students next fall by holding orientation and general information meetings for incoming kindergarten next week.
Kindergarten registration packets will be available at the meetings, all to be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the libraries of Loomis Grammar, H. Clarke Powers, Placer Elementary, and Ophir Elementary schools; and in the multi-purpose room at Franklin Elementary.
Actual registration dates are 12 to 3 p.m. April 20 at Powers; 12 to 3 p.m. April 21 at Loomis Grammar and Ophir; 12 to 3 p.m. April 22 at Penryn; and 12 to 3 p.m. April 23 at Placer and Franklin.
In order to register for kindergarten, a child must be 5 years of age by Dec. 2, 2009; provide a birth certificate or baptismal record; have a physician examination at 4 years, 3 months or older; provide childhood immunization records and oral health assessment; and show proof of residency in the Loomis Union School District.
