The Loomis community Easter egg hunt takes place Saturday, April 3, on the grounds of H. Clarke Powers Elementary School, located off of Humphrey Road. There will be games and other activities prior to the egg hunt, which begins at noon sharp. The free, annual hunt is organized by the Loomis First Assembly of God Church, whose volunteers, including Faye Nelle Plummer, have filled 12,000 eggs with chocolate candy for the hunt. Raffle tickets will also be available for 20 prize-filled baskets. Proceeds from the basket raffle help the church recover some of the costs of the egg hunt.
