High Hand Nursery  is hosting its annual donation drive to support local families and the Placer SPCA on Friday, Nov. 30. For more than four years, High Hand has offered generous discounts for one special night to encourage customers to donate toys for Loomis Basin families and supplies for the SPCA.

Customers who bring one donation item are eligible for 20 percent off their entire nursery purchase, while a second donation item allows a 40 percent discount. High Hand has partnered with the Loomis Basin Christmas Baskets charitable drive, which gives toys and food to families in need in the Loomis area.

The donation drive is made even more special when combined with High Hand's Tree Lighting Ceremony, an annual event to kick off the holiday season. This year's tree lighting kicks-off at 6 p.m. when the flip is switched and thousands of lights will illuminate the dark night throughout the nursery. Also on display beginning Nov. 30, is Mrs. Claus' ride. Many people have seen Santa's sleigh, but included in the vintage car display is one special ride driven exclusively by Mrs. Claus. The evening is also accompanied by live holiday music, wine tasting and food available from the High Hand Café.
