Guidera falls in quarters at Infineon

SONOMA — Matt Guidera of Loomis reached the quarterfinals in the Pro Stock Motorcycle division at the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals on Sunday at Infineon Raceway before losing to the eventual runner-up. Guidera, who entered Sunday’s elimination rounds as the eighth seed, narrowly lost to top qualifier Eddie Krawiec in the quarterfinals. Krawiec was edged in the final by Andrew Hines, whose time of 6.972 seconds was barely faster than Krawiec’s 7.014. In Sunday’s first round, Guidera beat ninth seed Shawn Gann. Guidera clocked in at 7.012, while Gann did not finish the race.
