Volunteer opportunities abound at all Placer County museums. Locations include the Griffith Quarry Museum in Penryn; the Placer County Museum, the Bernhard Museum Complex, and the Gold Country Museum in Auburn; the Forest Hill Divide Museum in Foresthill; and the Golden Drift Museum in Dutch Flat. According to Ralph Gibson, program manager for Placer County Museum, thousands of people from across the street to across the world visit Placer museums each year. “We breathe life into history by introducing them to the places, people, and events of our past. If you love history and enjoy meeting new people, then please consider becoming a Placer County Museums volunteer,” he said.
