Free spaying and neutering are available for cats and dogs belonging to low-income residents in Placer County. The program is made possible by a grant from the Placer County Animal Trust Fund. The grant also covers free-roaming cats in the county. For more information, call the Animal Spay & Neuter Clinic at (530) 889-8800. Use the code Spring Bonanza to identify the program. Funds are limited. Pet owners are reminded that pregnant cats can be safely spayed and surgery can be done on kittens and puppies as young as 8 weeks old.
