Gold Country band has opening for pianist

-A +A
The Gold Country Senior Band has an opening for a pianist to substitute occasionally or to play alternate weeks. All band members are volunteers. The Senior Band rehearses the first Monday morning of each month and then performs at area retirement and convalescent homes the remaining Monday mornings. The band performs simple popular songs, mostly from the first half of the 20th century and show tunes. According to Mary Rose Preston, the pianist “needs to be able to sightread fluently, play in every key comfortably, and play from a fake sheet. Patience and a sense of humor are appreciated.” For more information, contact Preston at (530) 888-1801.
