Girls basketball: Lady Hillmen dominate at Live Oak Tournament; Del Oro wins at Sonora

For the fourth straight game, the Lady Hillmen allowed fewer than 25 points.
Baylee Vanderdoes had 12 points and Fiona Ochs added 11 in Placer’s 57-24 victory in the championship game of the Live Oak Tournament Saturday against Mercy High School of Burlingame. 
Placer (4-0) made it to the title round by beating Willows 56-13 on Friday behind Elena Daniel’s 20-point outing. Lauren Collins and Ochs contributed with eight points each against Willows.  
Daniel, Olivia Holmes and Kerry McCullough were named all-tournament selections for Placer, which has allowed just 14.25 points per game on the season. 
Placers hosst Encina Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Del Oro 58, Alameda 46 — Make it eighth straight for the Golden Eagles. Stephanie Geyer had 26 points, seven rebounds and four steals to lead Del Oro (3-0) to its eighth consecutive Sonora Tournament title. Lauren Heyn, who along with Geyer and Natalie Sohn were named to the all-tournament team, added 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Del Oro, which has won the Sonora Tournament 10 times, visits St. Francis Tuesday at 7 p.m.
