Free singing lessons offered by Sierra Gold Chorus

South Placer residents Dar Haag (Granite Bay), Sharon Stratokos (Rocklin), Judi Naill (Loomis), and Barbara Youngs and Bev Rhoby (Newcastle) have issued an invitation to women to sing and receive four, free singing lessons. Sierra Gold Chorus of Auburn, dressed in holiday attire, recently held Christmas-in-July to kick off their DIVA’S Wanted Program. The program aims to attract woman of all ages who love to sing. Four, free singing lessons will be offered from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday evenings, from Sept. 15 to Oct. 6, at Burback Hall, located at 11577 E Avenue, in the DeWitt Center in Auburn. Participants may also sing with the chorus at Christmas shows in Nevada City and Auburn. The Sierra Gold Chorus of Auburn, under the direction of Barb Tincher, has a membership of over 40 women from Nevada City to Sacramento, and in Sparks, Nev. It is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.
