Del Oro High School's varsity baseball team, which made a late season run to qualify for the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs, landed four players on the all-Sierra Foothill League team that was selected by the league’s coaches. Three seniors — Mason Magleby, Brian Rowe and Trevor Thomas — were joined by junior second baseman Fred Cargile has Del Oro’s first team picks. Magleby and Rowe, a pitcher and catcher respectively, along with Thomas, who played first base, teamed with Cargile to lead the Golden Eagles both at the plate and in the field. SFL and CIF Sac-Joaquin Div. II champion Rocklin also placed four players on the squad as did Granite Bay. Granite Bay’s Andrew Knapp, a junior catcher, was named as the league’s Most Valuable Player.
